That's like saying you have to have money to be able to borrow money. It's a cinch most patients are going to drop out and not qualify for the surgery -- self-fulfilling prophesy! But I recently talked a young woman who had been very obese and got a gastric bypass (she now looks like a MODEL!) and I'm sure she told me the surgery cost about $4,000 -- not $20,000! I'm not sure why there's such a discrepancy in the amounts... hmmm...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2384364671539104386.post-49780966485307670322014-02-22T04:24:18.215-08:002014-02-22T04:24:18.215-08:00Lately I have been hearing so much negative stuff ...Lately I have been hearing so much negative stuff about insurance companies, if they decide on what to cover and what not why would you even have an insurance? To me that is gambling. Absolutely out of order and stupid move by united health as well because this operation will save her a lot of further treatment etc.Nicohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10635996909830632953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2384364671539104386.post-45528589467731601372014-02-22T01:02:11.080-08:002014-02-22T01:02:11.080-08:00I think that the health plan should cover such cos...I think that the health plan should cover such costs only when weight gain is the direct consequence of an illness, because clearly there's nothing that person could do to change his or her condition.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
